Homepage

The homepage is the first page of your storefront that customers see when they visit your shopping domain.

ML-driven homepage

By default, the collections that appear on your homepage are driven by proprietary machine-learning (ML) algorithms. The homepage is optimized to drive sales and conversions by showcasing collections that are predicted to be the most relevant for each individual customer. For example, customers who frequently purchase deli meats or pre-packaged lunches might see the Deli collection near the top of the homepage.

The ML algorithms consider the following data when making predictions:

  • Individual customer shopping habits, including personalized recommendations
  • Collection popularity, such as top selling products
  • Additional contexts, such as store location, time of day, or day of week

For customers who have previously purchased from your store, the homepage also includes a Buy it again collection. The Buy it again collection is strategically placed as the first collection because it has proven to improve customer retention and increase cart sizes.

info

This capability is available with Storefront Pro 5.

For complete control over the content that is displayed, you can replace the ML-driven homepage with a custom homepage. Instead of relying on ML algorithms to add content to the homepage, you start with a blank page and add content by using creatives. A custom homepage allows you to showcase weekly or daily promotions, merchandise products such as your private labels, and add content that reflects your brand.

You can also add the following preconfigured creatives to your custom homepage:
