Customers

A customer shops on your storefront and creates a customer account to place an order. Customer accounts provide benefits to customers and retailers. Customers gain access to a buy it again list and order history to make shopping faster and easier. Retailers gain access to customer details for those customers who consent to share their information.

When customers sign up for an account, they can access Instacart services to perform the following actions:

  • Use a buy it again list.
  • Review order history and re-order from past orders.
  • Manage customer account details, such as change contact information, delivery addresses, account password, and other personal information.
  • Manage payment methods.
  • Manage the types of emails and notifications received.
  • Link their customer account to their Instacart+ membership.
  • Receive credits.
