Customer data (Storefront)

For Instacart Storefront, customer accounts are Instacart accounts. The customer uses the same account while shopping across multiple storefronts hosted on either Instacart Marketplace or a retailer-specific Instacart Storefront site.

Retailer benefits

Retailers can rely on Instacart to take care of the following tasks on their behalf:

• Store customer data securely.
• Manage customer requests for data access or data deletion.
• Manage customers' opt-out preferences.
• Support customers experiencing trouble with a storefront by logging in as the customer.

Customer experience

Customers can have the following experiences:

• Use the same sign-on for both your Instacart Storefront site and your storefront on Instacart Marketplace.
• Shop seamlessly across your Instacart Storefront site, your storefront on Instacart Marketplace, and other retailers on Instacart Marketplace.
• Shop from a comprehensive buy-it-again list that includes products they purchase either from your storefront on Instacart Marketplace or your Instacart Storefront site.
• Contact Instacart with questions or requests about their customer account.
