Offer discount campaigns
Create an offer with a user-defined coupon code. You can share the coupon code in another context, like an email blast or a drive awareness campaign.
By default, these campaigns appear for all customers and apply to all regions. You can choose to target customers and regions to participate in the campaign. For example, you can target customers by email address, loyalty membership, having fewer than five purchases, or shopping at a specific store group.
If you share a coupon code in communications with your customers, make sure to include the terms and conditions of the offer.
You can set the following offer properties:
- Calculation. The type of discount.
- Dollar off. Customers get a dollar value discount, such as Spend $50 Get $10 off.
- Percentage off. Customers get a percentage off the order total, up to a maximum discount, such as Get 25% off a Minimum Spend of $50 (up to $20 max discount).
- Coupon code. The unique alphanumeric code to share with your customers. Minimum 8 characters. Special characters are allowed, but they add complexity for users. Consider limiting special characters to the following set:

. - Minimum purchase amount. Set the minimum amount that qualifies for the discount.
- Allow alcohol items to contribute to minimum spend. Before enabling this option, check with your legal department. Confirm whether you can allow alcohol items to be included in the minimum purchase amount for the regions targeted by this offer.
- Maximum coupon redemptions per customer. The number of times the customer can redeem the offer.
- Maximum coupon redemptions in total. The number of redemptions you support. When this value is met, no further redemptions can occur.
- Products. By default, the minimum purchase amount includes all products purchased. Optionally, you can set it to one or more collections.
- Budget. The budget allowed for the offer. For example, consider an offer of Spend $50 Get $10 off. If budget is $1000, the coupon code can be used 100 times (1000 / 10). When this value is met, no further redemptions can occur.
- Schedule. The schedule when the coupon code is valid.
During the scheduled period, customers can apply the coupon code during checkout. The following example shows where a customer can apply the code:
