Storefront enhancements

Instacart brings enhancements to the Storefront based on learnings from the Instacart App. The following capabilities are now available in Storefront.

Enhanced the item tile

The item tile includes the following enhancements:

  • Added a yellow highlight for promotions, such as “Buy any 4, get $1.50 off.”

Shows an item tile with a yellow highlight for the “Buy any 4, get $1.50 off” promotion.

  • Added Household and Personal Care tags, such as the “Whitening” tag for mouthwash. Shows an item tile with the Whitening personal care tag.

  • Added a Snap label, which appears below the price for snap-eligible items.

Shows an item time with the Snap label.

  • Updated the currency symbol to be smaller in size.

  • Updated the units of measurement for bananas from count to bananas or bunches. For example, customers can add 2 bananas.

For more information, see Item tile, Promotions, and Product tags.

Improved full-page checkout aisle

When your customers checkout on a desktop browser, the checkout aisle page takes up a full page. Previously, the checkout aisle appeared as a dialog window.

Shows the “Got everything you need?” screen with items customers might want before they continue to checkout.

For more information, see Checkout aisle recommendations.

Custom digital greeting cards for gifting

You can provide digital greeting cards that reflect your brand. Work with your Instacart representative to display your branded digital greeting cards.

For more information, see Gifting.

Updated ETA text with fulfillment type

Updated the earliest available time slot text to include the fulfillment type. For example, “Delivery by 9:20pm”.

Previously, only the time slot was included. For example, “By 9:20pm”.

No rush delivery

Provide incentives for customers to choose a three-hour delivery window on the same day or a future day. With no rush delivery, your store can potentially accept more orders and shoppers have more time to fulfill orders.

The discount appears during checkout when customers choose a three-hour delivery window. Customers can get 5% off their order up to a maximum of $2 off.

For more information, see Service options and time slots.

ETA based on cart size

The earliest available time slot in the header now factors in the customers' order size. For example, when customers add more items to their cart, the earliest available time slot updates to a later time to allow more time to fulfill larger orders.

For more information about factors used to calculate the ETA, see Service options and time slots.

Filter by sales and brands while browsing

While browsing for items, your customers can filter items based on sales and brands.

The following image shows an example of the filter bar:
