  • In Instacart Platform Portal, you can now edit creatives that are used in active campaigns. Previously, you could not edit creatives that had been live in an active campaign for over two hours. You can edit creatives in the Creatives manager or Campaigns & offers tools. For more information, see Creatives and Campaigns & offers.
  • Improved the loading time and experience for slots and creative placements on custom homepages. This enhancement improves the experience when customers view your storefront on desktop.

  • Primary banner carousels with more than one banner now include a pause button. Customers can pause autoplaying carousels by clicking the pause button. This feature improves accessibility in your storefront.

  • You can now submit your request for an Instacart Storefront e-commerce site using the Storefront Intake Form button in the Request Storefront topic. Previously, this process was managed through Google Forms.

  • Deprecated the meal_type field in favor of the new tags field in recipe files. For more information, see Recipes and Manage your recipe files.

  • Implemented the following enhancements and fixes to improve search engine optimization (SEO):

    • Removed the block on search engine crawling.

    • Updated the URL structure for product detail pages to be more SEO-friendly. Existing URLs will still work, and new URLs will use this updated structure.

    • Fixed the canonical link tag for product detail pages. This tag is hidden from customers and only relevant to search engine crawlers.

  • Enhanced password security by requiring customers who log in using their email to log in with a one-time-password (OTP) sent to their email. For more information, see Instacart sign-on.

  • Temporarily deprecated click-to-redeem offers (also known as direct links) as we redesign this feature. Live campaigns with direct links will not be affected, but marketers cannot create new campaigns with direct links. Instead, retailers can create offer discount campaigns with coupon codes to distribute to their customers.
