Replacements flow

Good item replacements are an important part of the customer shopping experience. With the Order Status page, the shopper can suggest a replacement item and the customer can approve the suggestion or ask for a refund. The customer can review changes from the Shopping in progress or the Review replacements status.

The following image shows an order in the Review replacements status. The page contains the same information as other status pages plus the Review changes button.

The image shows the Review replacements page in a browser view. On the left is the delivery date and time, the status, a message inviting the customer to review replacements, and the items in the order with 5 found, 1 replacement, and 1 refund. On the right is the map with the customer location, the shopper's name Amida, and a delivery address of 501 Belt Line Rd. 62234.

When the customer clicks the Review changes button, a new page opens with the suggested replacement, as shown in the following image.

The image shows the Review changes page in a browser view. The item in the order was bananas. The shopper suggested replacement item is organic bananas. Refund and Approve buttons appear beside the replacement. Below the Replacement section is a Refund section and a Still shopping for section.

The customer clicks either the Approve button or the Refund button. If the shopper hasn't received a request to refund a replaced item by the time they reach the cashier, the replacement item is purchased.
