Payment options

You can offer a variety of payment methods on your storefront. The payment methods are set at the retailer level, which means that the same set of payment methods is available in all your store locations. Ideally, you offer more than one type of payment method in each category to ensure that your customers have some flexibility with their payment options.

For all orders, customers must select one core payment method, such as a credit card. They can also select one or more of the alternative payment methods that you choose to offer on your storefront, such as SNAP EBT. The core payment method is used to cover costs that aren't covered by the selected alternative payment methods, as well as any additional charges from order modifications. If the alternative payment methods cover the entire order total, however, the core payment method isn't charged.
