Configurable products
Configurable products are products with customer-selectable options, such as size or customization choices.
To set up configurable products, use the catalog inventory file. For more information, see Configurable products.
Configurable products are displayed differently on your storefront, depending on the location:
Item tiles
Configurable products display on item tiles the same way as standard products, but customers can't add them directly to their cart from the tile. Instead, clicking the item opens the product details page, where customers make their selections before adding the item to their cart.
Product details pages
For configurable products, the product details page includes additional components that let customers make selections before adding the product to their cart.
