New features
The following new features are available in this release.
Customizable banners at checkout (Storefront Pro 5)
You can now display secondary banner carousels on the checkout page of your storefront. Banners can promote campaigns and link customers to a destination page.
The following image shows a secondary banner carousel on a mobile app checkout screen:

To set up a checkout banner, see Create drive awareness campaigns.
Google Pay now available
Customers can now use Google Pay at checkout for a fast, secure, and convenient payment experience. Google Pay reduces checkout friction, helps prevent cart abandonment, and meets customer expectations for modern digital wallet support.
To enable Google Pay for your customers, contact your Instacart representative.
Notifications for removed cart items
When customers proceed to checkout, they now see a notification if any items in their cart are no longer available. The notification shows which items were removed. Items can become unavailable when customers change their delivery address, switch stores or warehouse locations, or due to stock or regulatory changes. Customers can review the removed items, continue shopping for alternatives, or proceed to checkout with their remaining items.

Enhancements
The following enhancements are available in this release.
Department and collection page filters now use pill shape
Department and collection page filters now use the same pill shape as search results filters, creating a more consistent filtering experience for customers across your storefront.
The following example shows the updated filter shape:

Pickup delegate page
The pickup delegate experience has been updated with a modernized order tracking page that provides a consistent, real-time view of the order. When a customer shares their pickup order with a delegate, the delegate receives a link to the page where they can view order status, store details, and a summary of order items.
Pickup delegates can enter their name, phone number, and vehicle information directly on the pickup page and notify the store when they have arrived. Pickup delegates do not need an Instacart account.
Customers can generate the link to the pickup delegate page from the order status page on any platform, but the pickup delegate page can only be viewed on desktop and mobile web.
For more information, see Pickup flow.
Updated pickup time display
The pickup time on your storefront now reads available from [time] today instead of by [time] today. This makes it clearer to customers that the time shown is the earliest available pickup window, not the only option. Customers can still choose a different pickup window at checkout.

More relevant search results
Your customers now get more accurate and relevant search results. The improved search models are trained on more recent shopping behavior and use new signals to better predict which products customers are likely to add to their cart.
Search suggestions in Spanish and French
Customers using your storefront in Spanish (Spain), French (France), or French (Canada) now see search suggestions and autocomplete in their language. Previously, search suggestions appeared in English only.
