2024_04_0 Release Notes
Release date: April 23, 2024
The release notes describe changes to Storefront for this release, including new features and enhancements. In addition to these changes, Instacart continually updates the platform to improve accessibility, performance, and stability and to ensure the best user experience for your customers.
New features
There are no new features that are available for both Storefront and Storefront Pro.
Enhancements
The following enhancements are available in this release.
Manually sort all products in a static collection
You can define the order in which all products appear in a static collection. For example, you might want to boost all your private-label products to the beginning of a Daily deals collection. With the new Manual order sort option, products are automatically sequenced based on the order in which you add them to the collection.
You can add products in the following ways:
- Search for and add individual products
- Enter comma-separated values of product codes or IDs
- Upload a CSV file
After adding products, you can always change the rankings manually or delete the products and re-upload an edited CSV file with a new order.
The following image shows where to select the manual order sort option and change product rankings:
- Manual order sort option
- Rank modifier
For more information, see Rank products in a static collection.
Enhanced the low stock replacements experience in the post-checkout flow for iOS apps
For mobile iOS apps, the replacements experience in the post-checkout flow now enables customers to choose whether they want a replacement or refund inline. If customers want a replacement, they can select their replacement item inline. This experience is similar to the experience in web, mobile Android apps, and Instacart Marketplace.
Previously, the replace with shopper’s suggestion option was preselected.
