Inmar

Inmar helps retailers manage promotions and loyalty rewards. Many retailers that sell through Instacart already use Inmar.

Loyalty points are not currently supported using Inmar.

What Inmar offers

Inmar offers the following benefits:

• Synchronizes offers automatically. If you set up a promotion in Inmar, it displays in Instacart automatically. You don't have to enter the same deal in two different places. Your customers see the same offers whether they shop online or in your store.
• Has improved merchandising capabilities. Lets you access the complete set of Storefront Pro promotional tools:
  • Add badges to highlight sale items.
  • Show progress bars for loyalty rewards.
  • Create separate pages for coupons.
  • Control how promotions appear to customers.
• Provides continuous feature updates without additional setup.

How Inmar integrations work

Instacart’s internal discounting platform runs Instacart Marketplace and retailer Storefront Pro sites. Instacart uses the discounting platform to pull in offers from your loyalty provider and apply them to your e-commerce site, making it easy to display and manage promotions. This integration supports both item-level and basket-level discounts.

Customer accounts are linked to loyalty features through Inmar.

Only offer types supported by the discounting platform can be mapped and made available to the customers.

1. After you create the offer, Instacart uses HTTP to pull in offers from your Inmar implementation to Instacart’s supported offer types in the discounting platform. For information on Instacart's supported offers, see Storefront offer types.

2. When a customer shops, Instacart displays relevant item-level offers on item cards and the discounting platform. To help customers confirm which offers have been applied, the cart shows the completed item-level offers. A progress tracker for incomplete offers nudges users to complete them.

3. Instacart finds all applicable offers through the discounting platform without having to ping Inmar. This helps reduce latency as Instacart evaluates and updates every few hours.

The following offers are supported using Inmar:

• Item level $ off (single + multi-unit)
• Buy X, get $Y off
• Buy nX, get $Y off
• Save $X on multiple Y items
• Item level % off (single + multi-unit)
• Buy X, get Y% off
• Buy nX items, get Y% off
• Fixed price
• Buy X lbs/kgs for $Y per lb/kg
• Buy 1, get 1 at a reduced cost
• Buy N of one item, get an item free

Offers can be applied at the following levels:

• Basket-level. Discounts on entire basket, which can include specific product restrictions and support fixed and percentage discounts. Basket-level offers require a minimum order total.
• Item-level. Discounts (dollar or percentage-based) on specific items.
