# Pre-launch checklist

Be sure to review and follow guidelines for creating a Call to Action (CTA) button within your submission.

Before requesting a production key and prepare a short screen recording demonstrating your integration with the Instacart Developer Platform API. Your submission must comply with our [CTA design](/developer_platform_api/guide/concepts/design/cta_design.md) and [Developer messaging guidelines](/developer_platform_api/guide/terms_and_policies/developer_messaging.md).

## Process[​](#process "Direct link to Process")

Submitting a production key request will notify our team. We'll reach out within 5 business days to request your demo. If your demo meets the [integration requirements](#integration-requirements), your key will be approved. If not, you'll be asked to revise and resubmit. Once approved, you'll also receive an invitation to create your Impact.com affiliate account.

## Demo content checklist[​](#demo-content-checklist "Direct link to Demo content checklist")

Your submission must include the following:

  An overview of the user experience, including the steps leading up to the Instacart call-to-action (CTA) button.
* <!-- -->
  A click on the Instacart-branded CTA that redirects to the Instacart landing page.
* <!-- -->
  The URL to an Instacart shopping list or recipe landing page so we can review ingredient matching accuracy.

## Integration requirements[​](#integration-requirements "Direct link to Integration requirements")

Your integration must:

* <!-- -->
  Use the Platform API and link to Instacart landing pages or other instacart.com pages.
* <!-- -->
  Use approved CTA button text. Use either "Shop ingredients" or "Shop on Instacart".
* <!-- -->
  Use an approved CTA button theme. Dark, Light, or White with exact hex codes.
* <!-- -->
  Use a properly formatted CTA button that is 46px tall, has a 29.5px border radius, and includes a 22px full-color Instacart logo.
* <!-- -->
  PUse correct color scheme for the logo. Place the logo in full color on a white, cashew, or dark kale background, unmodified and unrotated.
* <!-- -->
  Use the logo only to indicate an integration. Do not pair with your logo in a header or use in marketing that implies a joint offering.

## Customer-facing copy[​](#customer-facing-copy "Direct link to Customer-facing copy")

The following must not appear anywhere in your copy:

* <!-- -->
  "Free Delivery". Use "$0 Delivery Fee" instead, with a "Service fees apply" disclaimer, or omit delivery mentions entirely.
* <!-- -->
  "Partner" or "Partnership" to describe your relationship with Instacart.
* <!-- -->
  "Instacart delivers", "Instacart grocery delivery" , "Instacart shops for you", similar phrasings positioning Instacart as a grocery store or delivery service.
* <!-- -->
  "Delivery in as fast as one hour" or any other delivery speed reference.
