This changelog summarizes the updates and enhancements made to the Instacart Developer Platform. The most recent changes are listed first. All changes are non-breaking changes.

* Updated the [Pre-launch checklist](/developer_platform_api/guide/concepts/launch_activities/pre-launch_checklist.md) with demo submission requirements, integration requirements, and customer-facing copy guidelines for production key approval.
* Reordered launch activities on the [Overview of launch activities](/developer_platform_api/guide/concepts/launch_activities/overview.md) page. Conversion tracking and affiliate payments is now an optional final step after the approval process.
* Updated [Conversion tracking and affiliate payments](/developer_platform_api/guide/concepts/launch_activities/conversions_and_payments.md) with revised Impact parameter guidance, including automatic parameter appending and a 24–48 hour setup period.

* Deprecated the `quantity` and `unit` fields on the [LineItem](/developer_platform_api/api/products/create_shopping_list_page.md#LineItem-object) object in the [Create shopping list page](/developer_platform_api/api/products/create_shopping_list_page.md) endpoint. Use the `line_item_measurements` array instead, which allows retailers to provide multiple measurements per line item so that Instacart can choose the best one for calculating the quantity.

When product UPCs are present in line items, Instacart searches exclusively using the provided identifiers, with retailers carrying matching products receiving higher priority in selection. Possible values are 'CA' and 'US'. Defaults to 'US'.

If the recipe or shopping list is not shopped or save by then, the recipe will be deleted. If partners do not pass a value for `expires_in` by September 30, 2024, we will set default expiry of 30 days.
