Image FAQs

Use this section to troubleshoot missing images, incorrect images, or images that display correctly at some retailers but not others. Image display problems are often related to source prioritization—images can come from the retailer, a CSP, or the product library in Ads Manager. Identifying the right fix starts with determining which source is currently taking priority for the affected product.

Do I need to provide a URL for new images being syndicated from a CSP?

No, this is no longer required.

Why aren't my images displaying on Instacart as expected?

Your images may not be displayed as expected for one of the following reasons:

  • Your content was rejected for not meeting Instacart's content standards.
  • Instacart source prioritization rules may be displaying content from a higher-priority source.
  • The updates have not yet been published. Typically, content changes are visible 24–48 hours after submission.
  • The retailer's configuration prioritizes the retailer's product content over content provided through a CSP or the product library.

Why are some of my product images displaying correctly but not others?

Your images may not all be displaying for one of the following reasons:

  • Multiple images were included in a single field.
  • An image was submitted in a field that Instacart does not support.

For a list of supported image fields, see Images.

Why do my images display correctly at some retailers but not others?

A small number of retailers prioritize their own product content over content sourced from a CSP or the product library. If your content isn't displaying as expected for a specific retailer, the discrepancy is likely related to the retailer's configuration. Contact the retailer directly to resolve any issues. If your content isn't displaying correctly for most or all retailers, it's more likely related to your CSP's submission or source prioritization settings.

note

Instacart is prohibited from sharing individual retailer configuration details with our advertising partners.

Why aren't my images displayed in the correct order?

Instacart displays images in a predetermined order based on the field name. For more information, see Multiple-image hierarchy.

How do I get help resolving an issue?
