Data fields
Size on Instacart is a composite attribute made up of three required fields and two optional fields. The following table describes the size information you can provide to Instacart:

The storefront displays size using the following logic:

Accepted units of measure
Always use the abbreviated, lowercase form. The following table lists accepted units by measurement type:

Format rules
Follow these rules when formatting size information for submission.
- Use the correct data type for each field:
- Numerical values for size value and unit count.
- Text values for size UOM.
- Enter the numeric value in the size value field and the unit separately in the size UOM field.
- Use lowercase abbreviations for size UOM.
- For size value, don't aggregate the total net weight when there are multiple units. This value should reflect the weight of a single unit.
- Don't include size in the product title if it can be captured in the size fields.
- Provide values for each field separately — don't combine them.
- Always provide both size value and size UOM together. If you provide one, you must provide the other.

A single package sold by weight or volume.
