Data exports

This feature is available to retailers only.

Beta refers to pre-release features or products that are under active development and available for users to try out.

You can download a CSV file of your promotion groups campaign performance data for deeper analysis, sharing with stakeholders, or record-keeping.

info

Exports that complete immediately will download directly from the Promotions page. Only exports that take too long to process inline are routed to Data Exports. Check here if your export did not download automatically.

Before you begin

To access Data Exports, you need:

  • An active Retailer Promotions account in Ads Manager
  • At least one promotion with performance data (promoted on Instacart)
  • Advertiser or Admin user role
  • A queued export. Data Exports only shows files when an async export has been triggered from the Promotions page.

How to start an export

Start from the Promotions page. If the export is large, it will be queued and you can retrieve it from Data Exports when ready.

  1. In Ads Manager, go to Retailer Promotions in the left navigation.
  2. Select the promotion you want to export data for, or choose All promotions to export account-wide data.
  3. Set your date range using the date picker at the top of the page.
  4. Click Export in the top-right corner of the Promotions page. If the file downloads immediately, you're done. If the export is large, it will be queued for background processing.
  5. If your export was queued, go to Data Exports (the download icon in the left nav). When the file is ready, a download link will appear. Click it to save the CSV to your device.

Tips and limitations

  • Exports are limited to a 13-month rolling date range. Contact your Instacart representative for historical data beyond this window.
  • Data in the export reflects the same attribution window as the Retailer Promotions dashboard (last-touch, same session).
  • Only Retailer Promotions data is included in this export. Brand promotions data is not accessible from this page.
  • Exports are available in CSV format only. PDF exports are not available for Retailer Promotions reports.
tip

Use the daily export for trend analysis and the aggregated export for summary reporting. Combine multiple exports in a spreadsheet to compare performance across promotions over time.
