The changelog is a chronological record of partner-facing changes to Instacart Ads Manager. The most recent changes are listed first.
May 6, 2026
- Updated the Instacart ads terms and conditions (US and Canada) to the May 6, 2026 version. The terms now:
- Identify the contracting Instacart entity by country.
- Describe acceptance when you register for or use the Services.
- Specify invoicing in U.S. or Canadian dollars where applicable.
- Address taxes on invoices.
- Add credits and authorized-representative (agency) provisions.
- Set separate governing law and venue terms for the United States and Canada.

Added an Audience insights section to Measuring display ad performance. It describes the reporting feature for Optimized Performance campaigns, where to find it in Ads Manager, and defines the three audience segments (new to category, bought within category but new to brand, and repeat buyer) in a reference table.

Updated Setting up display campaigns with a new step for selecting your campaign Audience (Optimized performance or Manual). You can also now add billing details in the Billing section.

- Added the Plan your first retailer promotion tutorial. It explains how basket-level retailer promotions differ from CPG-funded promotions, where promotions surface for shoppers, how promotion groups and promotions relate in Ads Manager, common audience options, and which metrics and help topics to use after launch.
